In their languege , The Arms ( shield ) is as follows :
“ Gu. Three chevronels betw, as many escallops ar. ”
Above the shield and helmet is the Crest which is described as :
“ On a chapeau a salamander in flames ppr. ”
When translated the blazon also describes the original colors
of the Mc Bride Arms and Crest as it appeared centuries ago.

are a number who have established for it a significant place in history.
They include : Ernest William McBRIDE ( 1866 – 1940 ) English
zoologist who is primarily known for his researches into the predeter -
mination of sex in the lower forms of life. Joseph Kay McBRIDE
(1845-1909) American Lawyer and jurist who was born in
Philadelphia , Pennsylvania, and who graduated from Harvard. For
many years, he was the Assistant United States - General, and Judge
of the federal District Courts. Alfred Watterson McBRIDE (1879 - 1931)
American pure – food advocate who wrote and lectured against the
use of coal-tar dyes, bleaches, and injurous preservatives. He was one
major participants in the investigation of food that was held at Ellis
Island, & the egg supply of New York. Henry B. Mc BRIDE (1840 - 1910)
American Confederate Army Officer who was born near Richmond ,
Virginia. He was Chief of Staff to General J.E.B. Stuart and Wade Hampton,
and the author of “ Campaigns of J.E.B. Stuart.” Thomas McBRIDE (1778 -
*- 1862) American Presbyterian Clergyman of the “ New School Party .” He
was one of the founders , & Professor at the Union Theological School
